Alice Cooper Books Symphonic Tour For 2014

The Rock Meets Classic tour’s mission statement promises “legendary voices of rock meeting a symphonic orchestra and a rock band.” And that’s exactly what they’ll be delivering next year, when Alice Cooper headlines a number of 2014 dates.

Not too many details of Cooper’s Rock Meets Classic run have been revealed, but we do know that he’ll be on the road with the show for a series of European dates taking place in March and April (you can take a look at the complete list below). Other confirmed acts include Midge Ure, Joe Lynn Turner and Kim Wilde. Primal Fear drummer Randy Black, a member of the Rock Meets Classic band, reacted to the news by saying, “It’s going to be more of those “pinch me” moments on this tour for sure! Can’t wait to start working on the songs.”

The tour will offer Cooper fans a chance to hear his music in a different setting, but this isn’t the rocker’s first experience with an orchestra; in 1999, he participated in the British Rock Symphony tour, appearing as part of a lineup that included Roger Daltrey, Eric Clapton and Ann Wilson of Heart. The Rock Meets Classic dates will be part of a busy year for Cooper, who’s also getting ready to release a new album of classic-rock covers.

  1. I hope Alice makes it back to Ontario – Hamilton or Toronto would be good – my 67 year old mom and I would LOVE to be able to go to just one of his concerts – been singing along with him since I COULD sing! My whole family loves Alice! <3

    • Would love to see more international dates to this tour – that would just be amazing!

(Angela – he was in Toronto/London this past summer, and the summer before that he was in Toronto/Kitchener.)

  2. I know we’re a long way away but we always miss out. How about bringing this to Melbourne, Australia?. Pleeeease?… You could justify it by saying someone misspelt Austria. :-D

  3. Alice, need some hometown appearances, been lessening to you for ever, back when you come to casa grande, you played at are national gaurd, it’s when you first started! (Spiders)

  4. Would love for you to come back to California. I missed the Masters of Madness show in Universal City so hopefully I’ll be able to see you again with this new show. I’d love to hear the classics as symphonic pieces as as some of the songs off of Raise Your Fist and Constrictor. Gail would be pretty approriate for the show I would think.

  5. Wow. Yeah don’t forget us here in the United States and keep us updated with photos and videos when you tour cause it is mind expanding to say the least.

  6. What happened to Australia. We love him down under. I loved the Rock Symphony tour when it hit Perth Western Australia

  7. When are you coming back to the Cincinnati, Ohio area? I would love to see 1 more of your concerts before I can’t get around anymore. I have been a huge fan of yours since the Billion Dollar Babies album came out, I am 47 now and it would be Great to see you in concert 1 more time. Thank you.
